Just found expanded coverage of Moteiv's FireEye system from CNN. Aside from the obvious benefits to public safety, this is the kind of project that can help draw positive attention to the industry as a whole. The average person doesn't understand what a mesh network is. But if you explain how this system helps save firefighters, they get it.
